SPINNAKERS AND GENNAKERS

Downwind sails

All our sails are CAD designed and cut on a digital Laser table.

The symmetric spinnaker:
the largest is used with a spinnaker pole on a reach or downwind. It is a standard downwind sail.

The asymmetric spinnaker:
A leading development, with a lower surface area, its leech is smaller than its luff. It is generally used with or without a spinnaker pole. Its wind angle range is situated between 80° and 150°. It is the cruising spinnaker par excellence.

When cruising or with a reduced crew, we recommend that you use these sails with a spinnaker sock, to make manoeuvring easier.

The gennaker: Born from multihulls and racing, the gennaker is the intermediary sail between the spinnaker and the genoa. Its surface area is between the two. This sail is used with a furler, which enables you to roll the sail on itself and thus makes its easy to use. Made of a heavy nylon or a light polyester for large boats, this sail improves the performance of your boat when close hauled in calm conditions and also at wind angles of between 60° and 120°. The ideal is to fix the tack to the front of the forestay and to hoist the system with the spinnaker halyard.

Be careful, this sail is not designed to be used half furled. The furler is only for storage purposes.

These sails are guaranteed for two years.
